Fitness Magazine partners with Io Media to execute this omni-channel campaign. The primary objective remains consistent: leverage social media to increase brand awareness for Fitness Magazine and sponsors, encourage engagement for participants and voters alike, and present unique UGC brand opportunities.

The campaign is set out over a 6 month period, with a variety of media opportunities and engagement mechanisms. By utilising entrants’ social media presence, the campaign broadens its reach and drives awareness around the campaign, while offering activation opportunities to sponsors.

IO Media implements a comprehensive online strategy to maximise exposure and engagement for the Face of Fitness competition. The strategy includes:

  • Personalised Graphics: Each entrant receives personalised graphics to post on their social media channels, showcasing their participation in the competition and encouraging their followers to vote.
  • Influencer Network: Entrants are required to tag title sponsor Biogen, Fitness Magazine and other associated sponsors in their posts, allowing for brand exposure across their influencer networks.
  • Hashtag Campaign: A branded hashtag, #BiogenFaceofFitness2023, is created to unify and track social media conversations surrounding the competition.
  • UGC Promotion: Entrants are encouraged to create user-generated content (UGC) throughout the entry and voting period, driving traffic and engagement online.
  • Vote Solicitation: All entrants actively canvas for votes, leveraging their social media platforms to drive traffic and increase exposure. This voting process is repeated twice (all entrants / then top32). Activation opportunities for sponsors are incorporated by way of emails to all registered voters.
